Air Canada to launch direct Vancouver-to-Fort McMurray flights Print E-mail

Air Canada is tapping a strategic market by offering the only daily non-stop service between Vancouver and Fort McMurray.

Beginning January 5, 2009, flights from Vancouver will depart at noon and arrive just before 3 p.m.. Flights will depart Fort McMurray and arrive in Vancouver at 3.25 p.m.

The daily flights will complement non-stop weekend flights from Fort McMurray to Kelowna and Toronto. In total, Air Canada will provide 14 daily flights from Fort McMurray to Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and Toronto.

Weekend flights between Fort McMurray and Kelowna will begin in December to coincide with the winter ski season.
