TransLink sues shipper afterbarges collide with terminal The South Coast British Columbia Transportation Authority, otherwise known as TransLink, has started legal action against North Vancouver’s Seaspan International Ltd. after Seaspan barges alledgedly broke free and collided with TransLink’s SeaBus terminal in December 2006. According to the statement of claim filed in B.C. Supreme Court on November 18, the barges were moored and/or anchored and/or tied, or, were being towed near the SeaBus terminal when they broke free and drifted toward and collided with the terminal resulting in severe damage.
