Vancouver-based ClaimTools has been acquired by San Diego-based Mitchell International for an undisclosed sum.

Founded in 2006, ClaimTools develops digital camera and photo management tools for collision repair centres, automotive dealerships, auto glass facilities and related automotive sector companies.

Mitchell International purchased ClaimTools and its assets to improve its products and services for the property and casualty and automotive collision repair sectors.

ClaimTools will help Mitchell eliminate the time-consuming and manual process of managing digital photos by helping users capture and wirelessly transmit, store and identify vehicle photos.
