Burnaby-based Day4 Energy Inc. (TSX:DFE) has signed an agreement to build a 2.4-megawatt solar power plant for Germany's Gunter Heiss Solar Gmbh & Co. KG.

Day4 will design, engineer and construct the roof-mounted photovoltaic plant with one of its German-based partners. Once completed, the plant is expected to include approximately 12,600 Day4 solar-electric modules.

Heiss Solar is located in Emmingen, Germany and is in the tree nursery business. The energy produced by the solar plant will be sold to the local power provider.

The latest deal is part of the company's plan to increase its project development business.

Day4's share price range during the past week: between $0.65 and $0.70; 52-week high: $2.20; 52-week low: $0.33.
